Next to the incredible Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Manor nestles inside the wonderfully named 1,500-acre Shangri-La estate. The beautiful hills of the Tanzanian Highlands and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ngorongoro Crater are close by.

From Arusha, a journey by vehicle is around 2 hours and 45 minutes.

If you prefer to fly, thereby reducing your journey on the bumpy Tanzanian roads, there are flights from Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airports to Lake Manyara airstrip, Which is only a 60-minute flight and a 40-minute drive from the airstrip to the lodge.

Guests can check-in between 14.00 and 18.00 hours, while check-out is by 10.00 hours.

The Stable Cottage is worth considering for those traveling as a family or friends. It is on two floors, away from the Manor House. It has a compact separate dining area and a lounge, perfectly suited for private meals.

Downstairs is the main and twin bedroom, each with its bathrooms containing a Victorian bathtub, refreshing rain shower, and fireplace. Also downstairs is a family lounge area, a great meeting point. Upstairs you will find the children’s twin room, children’s bathroom, and playroom with satellite TV.

In summary, the facilities of the Stable Cottage are accommodation for up to six people (4 adults and two children), daily change of linen/towels, en suite bathroom with ‘rainfall’ shower, twin vanity basins, hairdryer, toiletries, mineral water, terrace with sun loungers, tea/ coffee making facilities, safe, desk with stationery, Wi-fi (in main Manor House only), internal phone, universal adaptors, and charging points.
